Welcome to Unicorn Wednesday, your one-stop post for all things unicorn on Wednesdays.
My personal obsession with unicorns began when I was wee with unicorn snow globes, life-sized (for a four year old) stuffed animals (yes, plural), and sheets. As I matured (kind of), the obsession adapted into new forms, such as short stories (clearly I was an early magical realist. You can call me Sarah García Márquez.)
With the technological advances of the past several decades have come new and exciting ways to sate my obsession. Namely, YouTube. Please enjoy my current collection of favourite internet unicorns.
That video makes me seriously question the life choices that have led me to be a grant writer/editor/Urchin instead of investing my life savings in a unicorn costume, elaborate sets, and video equipment. I live and die for the 25 and 49 second marks of that cinematic masterpiece.
You can be sure this will play on every one of my birthdays for as long as the internet and I live. The 15 second mark. Unicorns. Hip hop. I need resuscitation.
Okay, I realise that My Little Ponies are not unicorns. Maybe I should have entitled this post People in Horse/Unicorn Costumes Wednesday. But, seriously. Serenading Unicorn and My Little Pony people, call me. I think you will find I am an invaluable asset to your creative teams. I’m sorry, Urchins, but I think I’ve found my true calling.
